Inequality is a hurdle in the working of a democratic institution because –
•Democratization is difficult to achieve in a plural or diversified society.
•The members belonging to a particular group only are included.
•Decisions in developmental activities are made by a few only.
•Democratic measures do not work due to inequality in the structural features of the society.
