How can we say that the line formed by the midpoints of a parallelogram is parallel to the corresponding bases of the parallelogram. For example if you have aparallelogramm ABCD and E and F are the midpoints of AD and BC respectively. How would they be parallel to AB and DC?

by using midpoint theorem

construct diagonal DB

prove that in ΔBCD, OF║DC

prove that in ΔDAB, OE║AB

pjnb542: You can't just say that O is the midpoint of DB right?
