We can seperate dry flowers from pulses by the following ways -

• Manual separation : This is the most common and time consuming process of separation.

In this process we manually see and separate the dry flowers mixed in the pulses.

• Winnowing : By the traditional method of winnowing we can seperate dry flowers from the pulses due to air blow generated during the winnowing process.

• Water separation : The dry flowers are obviously light weight than the pulses. So if we slowly pour the mixture of the dry flowers and pulses into clear water, the heavier pulses will sink down. And, the light weight flowers will float on the upper surface of the water.

We can then easily separate the dry flowers which are floating on the upper surface of the water.
