how can we separate sugar from sand ( i know this answerbut i am asking u)

Explanation:

Sand is not soluble in water but sugar is soluble in water. So diluting the mixture with water when sugar dissolves in water and separated from sand which settles down. It is filtered and evaporated later to get sugar back.Winnowing is the process when heavier components are separated from lighter ones.
