How can we separate the following - 1 Mercury and Water 2 Ammonium chloride and potassium chloride

1. Mercury also has a very low solubility in water, therefore by difference in density, one can just let the mercury/water mixture settle and decant the supernatant water. 

2. Ammonium Chloride is soluble in water so then u will be left with potassium chloride.
