Perfume is a very volatile liquid and "when liquid perfume is applied", it changes very quickly into vapours. These vapours move in all directions in the air and mix rate and because of this perfume can be smelled far away from the source. It contains some fragrance or pleasant smell which makes the moving molecules smell better.
