x=5/6-(-2/3)
= 5/6+2/3
= 5+4/6
= 9/6
= 3/2

Suppose that number is ‘x'.

Now, we know that if we subtract ‘x' from 5/6, we get -2/3.

5/6 - x = -2/3

x = 5/6 + 2/3 ........we change the sides of x and -2/3 with signs.

x = 5/6 + 4/6

x = 9/6

x = 3/2........●

So, 3/2 is the answer.
