How To Stay United When Unity of Nation Is In Danger?
Staying united always is not only impregnable strength, but challenging also. There is immense power in unity. Whenever people in any part of the world got truly united for a common cause, miracles were done. French Revolution, Russian Revolution, India’s Struggle for Independence, etc. are some instances that show the might of unity.
However, at times, the same national unity can be in danger. In such cases, the people must be reminded the common past struggle of their ancestors in the independence struggle or in the process of development. People should be reminded the common bonds that bind them together.
People who are likely to become divided, must be made aware of the disadvantages they might have to face after the division.
National unity is exceedingly crucial for a nation’s growth and development. J.K. Rowling in her famous book, ‘Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire’ writes, “We are only as strong as we are united, as weak as we are divided.” Our country, India is a country of diversity of climate, physical features, peoples, ethnicities, religions, languages, cultures, etc.
There are many factors that keep the diverse people of our country united. These factors are sports, IT, Educational institutes such as KVs, colleges, universities, cinemas, wars, and natural disasters. When any Indian sports team wins a match against a rival team, it brings the people of our country together. Similarly, at educational institutes, people belonging to different castes, cultures, and faiths gain knowledge together, which also brings them together? National integration is also felt when Indian armed forces fight a war or any other aggression by the anti-national forces.
IT is playing a great binding force on the people of India in the modern times. People are connected to one another through internet or e-business.
In conclusion it can be said though there are many differences in India, yet there are enough cementing and binding forces that hold them together. The Government should use all the above mentioned tolls to maintain national unity.
