Answer:
There is literally nothing we can do to take care of the universe. We are less than a tiny speck on an even tinier mote in a vast sea of emptiness, which we have no way of controlling or having any affect on at all.
If this planet were to be blown to smithereens tomorrow, nothing in the universe would change. The matter of the planet would be converted to dust and debris, the energy released, and the net balance of both of those thing would remain unchanged on the balance sheet. The universe wouldn’t even be aware that it happened.
We are here as spectators. Our sphere of influence as of right now stretches only as far as the farthest our light and radio waves have reached since we started creating them. Which is barely enough to reach a handful of the closest stars. And light and radio waves don’t mean a whole lot. One thing’s for sure… They aren’t going to do anything to care for the universe.
