Test for Oxygen:
1. A glowing splint (no flames burning) is used to test for oxygen.
2. Oxygen gas rekindles the glowing splint as it bursts into flames.

Test for Hydrogen:
1. A lighted splint is used for the test of hydrogen.
2. Hydrogen gas burns with a ‘pop’ sound and extinguishes the lighted splint.

Test for Carbon dioxide:
1. A lighted splint can be used as a preliminary test for carbon dioxide.
2. Carbon dioxide gas extinguishes the lighted splint as iot does not supports combustion.
Confirmatory Test for Carbon Dioxide:
1. Pass the gas into limewater.
2. Carbon dioxide produces a white precipitate in limewater.
Note: Descriptions like ‘cloudy’ or ‘milky’ are not really correct.

Hey mate Good evening ❤️❤️❤️❤️

we can test the oxygen by the method below.

✓Oxygen supports combustion

and we can test it by taking a process of combustion

if process of combustion occurs then the gas will be oxygen. ✌️✌️✌️

Carbon dioxide
✓ We know that Carbon dioxide turns limewater milky

then we can test it by lime water....

Hydrogen
✓. To test for hydrogen gas evolved, insert a lighted splint into the test tube. The lighted splint should extinguish with a characteristic "pop" sound.

Then in this way we can test all of these..
