We can apply green chemistry for the following by some specific ways

i) For controlling the photochemical smog ,some certain plants like pinus, pyrus, vitis, can be used to metabolise nitrogen oxide (NO) and therefore , their plantation could help in reducing photochemical smog

ii) For reducing the use of synthetic detergents,we can use soaps , soaps are 100% biodegradable so they should be used in the place of detergents

Now days there are so many biodegradable detergents. Therefore they should be used in the place of non biodegradable hard detergents

iii) For reducing the consumption of petrol and diesel , there are some different ways first of all we can say about CNG ( Compressed Natural Gas) which should be used as it causes less pollution ,so we should use it

on the other hand we should use electrical vehicle to reduce the consumption of petrol and diesel,as petrol and diesel cause a lot of effect in pollution

Green chemistry can be applied in every events of our daily lives to improve the conditions of the environment.

Explanation:

  • Green chemistry is the alternative of the traditional chemistry which uses technology that is less harmful for the environment.
  • In case of photochemical smog, the primary reason for the formation of smog is the smoke that is exhausted from factories and vehicles.
  • This smoke can be reduced using LPG or CNG.
  • Different plants can be planted in the locality to improve the absorption of carbon dioxide.
  • Plants like banyan, peepal are of high efficiency in these processes.
  • In case of synthetic detergents, these aren't degraded by bacteria over years.
  • So biodegradable detergents should be used that contains long fatty acids which are easily degraded by bacteria.
  • In case of petrol and diesel consumption, these petroleum oils produce a lot of smoke and other pollutants like lead, mercury, sulphur etc which causes harm.
  • So instead of these products, battery can be used.
  • Fuels like Compressed Natural Gas, Liquid Petroleum Gas can be used.
