Find out the power of the eye piece, which is usually 10 x. It is usually written at the top of the microscope on eyepiece.
STEP 2.
Determine the power of the object that you are using to check the slide, usually the viewing powers are 4X, 10x and 40X
STEP 3.
Multiply the power of seeing the pieces of the eye by the power of the purpose used to test the slide For example, if the power of viewing is 10X and you use the power of purpose in 10X, the magnification is 100X.
