if you want to change the time period of a simple pendulum you should first take a long thread and then take a short thread and you should tie a buld in it and then you should try the first one and measure the time period of it and then you should try this short one and measure the time period of second pendulum you will see the change in the time period because when we reduce the length of the thread the time period automatically changes
