The Beer-Lambert law, which is more commonly known as the Beer's, describes the linear relationship between absorbance and concentration of an absorbing species.
The unknown concentration of a sample can be determined by simply measuring the amount of light that the given sample absorbs and then apply Beer's law.
Even then if the absorptive coefficient is not determined, the using the working curve of absorbance against concentration is derived from standards.
