Explanation:

first we have to take a measuring cylinder place it on a flat horizontal surface then pour some water into it then measure the volume of the beaker and name it as v1. Then with a help of a thread dip that irregular solid into the water and measure it's volume amdname it as v2. Then we have to subtract the volume of water form the thread so v2-v1.
