How can you determine the north pole of a current-carrying solenoid with the help of a bar magnet?

  1. Take the bar magnet with its south pole towards the solenoid.
  2. If the solenoid repels then the side of solenoid will be south pole.
  3. And if the solenoid attracts the side of solenoid will be north pole.
