how can you determine the polarity of current carry solinoid with the help of bar magnet

First , take the North Pole of the bar magnet to any of the sides of the solenoid .. If it attracts , it's the South Pole .. if repels , it's the North Pole ..

And depending on it , the other Pole can be identified ..
