How can you determine which cell data is being used in a chart?

  • The caption of a graph identifies the types of data that are depicted there. The data range for the chart is used by default to determine the text that appears in the legend. Sets of connected data are called series.
  • The Microsoft Excel file serves as the data source for the Excel sheet. In the order they are listed in the editor, it assigns information from the columns to the properties. In other words, the first column's value will be assigned to the first property, the second column's value will be assigned to the second property, and so on.
  • Use bar charts or histograms if your data is discrete or line/area charts if it is continuous when you have nominal data. Use a scatter plot, bubble chart, or line chart to illustrate the relationship between the numbers in your dataset.
