The difference between music and sound because one is complex and makes you feel emotion, while the other may make you feel emotion there is no complexity to it. While the music does fall under the category of sound, it is like calling a stick figure a piece of art. Music is The Starry Night, and sound is a finger painting by a two-year-old. Establishing this music has layers to it like an onion. The first layer that you pull back is the different notes in the piece, while sound tends to very few different notes. In a symphony the can be thousands of different notes, but dropping a spoon give you that one out of tone note. The next layer is the key signature. Each signature tells you how to play that note and give you a different feeling depending on what key your in and if you're in major or minor. This is not true for sound, going back to the spoon analogy it does not even have a key signature and has that one note. One of the most critical layers is the rhythm and tempo. The rhythm and tempo are like twin and work hand and hand. They are what tell you how fast or slow to go and can cause you to fell the emotion of that piece. You don’t get that from a quick noise. The final layer I shall talk about is the dynamics in a piece of music. The dynamics tell you the volume at which to play. It causes you to fear the bass or fall in love with the sweet sound of the flute. I believe the scream of a crying child doesn't feel these emotions. This is what I fell the difference is between music and sound is. I may be wrong.
