You see that the series of alkynes start from ethyne. You know that ethyne has 2 Carbons. But when the number of Carbon atoms increases,then the concept of terminal and non-terminal alkynes occur. A Terminal Alkyne is an alkyne in whose molecule there is at least one hydrogen atom bonded to a triply bonded carbon atom.✌️
