Answer:

amount given to bimal is x

amount given to kamal is x+16

so x+(x+16)=100

x+x+16=100

2x=100-16

x=84/2

x=42

so kamal get rupees x+16=42+16=58

and bimal get rupees x=42

How to do :-

Here, we are given with the total amount that ahould be divided between Kamal and Bimal so that Kamal should get ₹16 more than Bimal. Here, we are going to use the concept called as variables in which we use some alphabets and then find the value of those. We take the money got to Bimal as x and the Kamal's money can be written as 16 added to x. The total amount is 100 and then we shift the numbers from one hand side to other and then find the value. So, let's solve!!

\:

Solution :-

Money obtained to Bimal :-

{\sf \leadsto Bimal : Kamal = 100}

Substitute the given values.

{\tt \leadsto x : x + 16 = 100}

Add both the numbers having same variables.

{\tt \leadsto 2x + 16 = 100}

Shift the number 16 from LHS to RHS, changing it's sign.

{\tt \leadsto 2x = 100 - 16}

Subtract the values on RHS.

{\tt \leadsto 2x = 84}

Shift the number 2 from LHS to RHS, changing it's sign.

{\tt \leadsto x = \dfrac{84}{2}}

Simplify the fraction to get the value of x.

{\tt \leadsto x = 42}

\:

Money obtained to Kamal :-

{\tt \leadsto x + 16}

Substitute the value of x.

{\tt \leadsto 42 + 16}

Add the values to get the answer.

{\tt \leadsto Rs \: \: 58}

\:

Final answer :-

\small\boxed{\begin{array}{cc} \large \bigstar \:  \sf \pink{Bimal = Rs \: \: 42}  \\  \\ \large \bigstar \:  \sf \pink{Kamal = Rs \: \: 58}\end{array}}

\:

Hence solved !!
