how can you explain bond strength in terms of bond order?

The bond strength is directly proportional to the bond order. So, more the bond order more is the bond strength

Bond order = 1/2(No of bonding electron - no. of antibonding electron)

Bond order is directly proportional to bond strength. Greater the bond order greater is the bond strength.
