How can you explain hearing range of human and ultrasound?

The range of human hearing is about 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz.Ultrasound waves have frequenciesabove about 20,000 Hz (which is 20 kHz). As this is above the normalhearing range for humans, we cannothear ultrasound.
