how can you find the acceleration and velocity of an object moving on inclined plane
Answers
Refers to the attachment for the answer.
Let us assume that the object of mass m is kept on the Inclined plane.
Now, There will be acting one force called as Component of the Weight along the Incline which is given by the Relation,
mgsinθ,
where θ is the angle which the incline makes with the surface or Angle of the Incline.
Now, If there will be no friction and the object is moving along the incline, Then,
Force = mgsinθ
⇒ ma = mgsinθ
∴ a = gsinθ
This case is valid when the angle of the Incline is greater than the angle of repose, means the object is moving without any the cause or acing of the force.
But sometimes when the object does not moves without the action of force, I mean that angle of repose is greater than the angle of the incline, then we need to apply the force so that the object can move then,
Force applied = mgsinθ
∴ a = gsinθ
The cases will be changed when the friction is involved.
Now, For velocity, It can be find by using the equation of Motions. Time, Distance or initial velocity etc must be given if question will be asked related to the velocity. So by using them, you can find that.
Hope it helps.
