1. Take a spring balance and hang to horizontal rod.
2. take a light string for which the breaking strength to be found.
3. one end of the string is attached to the spring balance and the other end is attached to a weight hanger.
4. Put some small weights like 50gms on the weight hanger and note the readings of the spring balance.
5. Now add little weight to the hanger and note the readings of the spring balance.
6. Do the same until the string is broken.
7. Note the reading of the balance when string is broken.
