We need a thread to measure a curved line.

1. Tie a knot at one end of the thread.
2. Place the thread at the beginning of the line and try to measure any initial point which is relatively straight.
3. Place your thumb at the other end of the measured portion and measure next straighten portion
4. Repeat the step till you reach the end of the thread and tie a knot at the end.
5. Now, straighten the thread and measure the length of the two knots with a scale / ruler.
