We can prevent discrimination on the basis of religion by several ways. Such as:

1. Avoid imposing criteria that may be considered discriminatory on the basis of religion, for example an insistence on working on Sundays, unless this is necessary in relation to the achievement of a legitimate business aim.

2. Be aware of the possible misunderstandings that can occur in interviews between people of different religious backgrounds.

3. Check that access to opportunities for promotion, transfer and training is not restricted on grounds of religion.

4. Adhere to the provisions of the Equality and Human Rights Commission’s Code of Practice on Employment.
