There are a lot of reason that make the election commission democratic on India...
such as...

1-There is an election commission in India that ensure the fair functioning of the process of elections.
2-Electronic voting machines are used for casting votes which are stand alone devices and non hack able. etc
3-There is also NOTA..none of the above button just know case people are not satisfied by any of the participants
4-In India there are a lot of candidates who are ready to serve the country from a lot of option

The minimum conditions of a democratic election: Every Citizen should have one vote and every vote should have equal value. Voters choose from. that is Political parties and candidates should be free to contest elections giving the voters a real choice.
