Two springs A and B.

To find:

For every action, there is equal and

opposite reaction.

Procedure:

1. Place spring balance 'B' on the hook.

2. Place the spring balance 'A' on the hook of spring balance A.

3. Check and note the reading of the spring balance A.

4. Place the weight on the hook of the spring balance B. Now, note the reading of spring balances 'B' and 'A'.

5. Now, remove the weight and note the reading of the spring balances 'B' and 'A'.

Observation:

The weight of the object placed in the hook is equal to the reading on the spring balances 'B' and 'A'.

Conclusion:

The weight of the object is the action and

the reading of the spring balance is

reaction. Thus, for every action, there is

equal and opposite reaction.
