plant take co2 in the presence of sunlight to form their food
their good is in the form of glucose
co2 +water+sunlight =glucose +oxygen
in plants there are special organelles that are called stomata
stomata takes co2 from air and form their food
this can be proved by a simple experiment
if the plant is kept in a dark place where co2 is not available then the plant would die

Hello friend here is your answer.
Yes, it can be prove,
In plants, lime water absorbs Carbon -dioxide and hence there is no Carbon -dioxide for the leaf and hence photosynthesis does not take place and no starch is prepared.
Hence on iodine test , the presence of starch is negative and thus proves that the carbon dioxide is required for photosynthesis.
