Experiment to prove that sunlight is necessary for photosynthesis :
Take a potted plant.
Cover one of its leaf from the middle by a black strip or an aluminium foil so that the sunlight can't enter it.
Then put this potted plant in a dark room for 2-4 days.
Then put this potted plant in sunlight for 4-6 hours.
Then pluck the leaf and now the leaf is destarched.
Wash the leaf with hot water.
After it boil the water in alcohol ( not directly but with the help of water bath).
After it wash it with cold water.
Then pour some iodine solution on it.
Conclusion : You will clearly see that the whole leaf will be blue black in colour except the part which we Covered with foil.
