Answer: The glucose solution needs to be boiled.

Explanation: The glucose solution is boiled to remove the oxygen gas because when oxygen is absent then anaerobic respiration takes place and carbon dioxide should also be removed so that it does not interfere with the removal of oxygen and the solution is boiled at the 1 atmospheric pressure which in the end leaves the glucose behind for the anaerobic respiration.
