in boiling and melting only state of substance changes and there is no change in chemical properties of the substance

boiling of water :
when water is heated at its boiling point water vapourizes and forms as water vapours.
when we cool these vapours we can obtain the water that was there before vaporization or boiling.
in a physical change
the change can be reversed.
melting of water :
when water is in a solid state I. e. ice cubes they melt when they reach their melting point. when ice melts it forms water and when we cool this liquid water we get ice cubes back.
this is why boiling and melting are said as physical changes.
