As hills , Mountains are very high we can't show the exact hights on map so we use contour lines to represent them and the level of sea keeps on changing dew to high tide and low tide in order to solve this problem the level of the sea is carefully measured at frequent intervals of time and mean level of the sea is calculated and the average level is known as mean sea level [M.S.L]
