how can you say photosynthesis maintains balance between Oxygen and Carbon dioxide in the atmosphere

as it takes the process the CO2 molecules breaks and the carbon molecules is used in energy for the growth and the other O2 molecules is released outside while photosynthesis. so it maintains the balance between them
