Plants consist of living as well as dead tissues. Whereas animals consist of only living tissues. Plans are stationary in nature. They do not show locomotion. They contains supportive tissues which contains dead cells. Animals are not stationary. They show constant movement. Hence, they contain living tissues in order to provide energy for movement. Also, both animals and plants perform different function. So, to suit to the varied functions, they are made up of different kinds of tissues.
