The democratic governments are known to be corrupt, this is one of its challenges. The following are some ways how democratic leaders indulge in Corruption:They take bribes to complete the tasks for which they take a salary.They complete and favour the tasks of the rich and powerful.They try to exploit the people in dire need of help and government support.They dodge the law and dishonour the Right To Information of citizens.
Some corrective methods of this are:The introduction and enforcement of strict laws against the people indulging in corruption. Ex. Lokpal BillEnforcing more accountability, transparency and like into the government.Taking action against the people offering bribery as well.Making more aware of Corruption and leading them to a moral path.
But this isn't possible without people's participation and joint effort for government side as well.
