How can you say that Helen read and studied out of doors??

Miss Sullivan would often take Helen out, and told her how the sun and rain helped in the growth of trees. Helen learnt to find beauty in every blade of grass. One day she climbed a tree and sat there. Miss Sullivan went to bring food. Suddenly a thunderstorm struck,and shook the tree violently. Helen was filled with terror. Her teacher came, seized her hand and brought her down. Thus, she learntthat Nature was not always kind. Another time she got near a fragrant mimosa tree ,and climbed it. She sat on a seat high up in the tree and felt like a fairy.
