The most important thing about a democratic country is the right to vote. It's our choice to elect a leader. In case of non democratic country, leaders are elected their own. For example, South Korea where Kim considers himself as the leader. You also know about Adolf Hitler and Mussolini, right? So in India we have the choice to elect the rightful leader.
Next is we have the right to travel anywhere across India. We can join or form new parties inorder to criticize the government. We have the right to write anything in newspaper or in any kinds of social media. It's our right.
Indian Constitution never consider any religion superior than the other. In other words, we can take any religion, worship any God or even be an atheist.
That's why a democracy is known as By The People, For the people. We can question anyone and we have the freedom to do according to our wish.
These things are not possible in any other form of government like in dictator ship. In a democracy, we have the right to do anything. Indian Constitution demands all the rights to people. Also India is republic. Hence called democracy.
