Jerome is a hypochondriac bcoz while he was reading a liver pill circular he thought that he had all the symptoms of a liver disease and one day he went to the British library and read about all the diseases and came at the conclusion that he was suffering from all the diseases except house maid's knee.
This thought clearly shows that he was a hypochondriac.
