It is all about the ethnicity, language, custom, religion, migration etc. For an example most of the EU nations are not multicultural , this is due to those countries prefer to maintain their very culture without diluting it. This not because they don’t like any other cultures or language. However big countries like India which has abound 30 states has more than 500+ different languages and unique culture. We can call such countries multi-cultural. Other chance of being multicultural is through mass migration countries like US, Australia, UK , Canada etc. has lots of migrants which make the population of that country multi-cultural. So in nutshell if you embrace other people with respect and empathy you will have strong multicultural environment.
