Motion is relative in nature.
Whenever we talk about the motion of a body we always fix a frame of reference and origin .
Only these frame of reference or origin can be use to tell anything about the body under consideration and if the reference is fixed then we comment on the position of body with respect to the fixed reference and if it is moving then also we do the same ,we always measure the position and nature with respect to something and hence it is relative in nature .
Thanks
