Answer:

Unity & Diversity’ are the two words of opposite, the former is positive and the later is a division. By the word, Unity means integration or solidarity and is a psychological state of oneness while Diversity means the difference that distinguishes a person or group of people into race, religion, language or any other form of distinction. However, ‘Unity in Diversity’ is apt and fitting to describe the fundamental nature of Indian Society.

Racial Diversity: In India we finds the Negrito people, the proto-Australaid, the Mongoloids, the western Brachycephals, the nortic and the meditaranian that consist the Indian sub-continent’s population.

Linguistic Diversity: A different types of language are found to be speaking in the Indian Society viz. Indo-Aryan, Dravidian, Sino-Tibetan, Austric…et al.

Religiuos Diversity: Varied religions are also found to have been carried out in India. Hindu dominates the major population followed by Muslims, and other religions as Christians, Sikhs, Jains, Buddhist, Parsis and also the traditional religion which we called it animism.

Caste, Tribe and Ethnic Diversity: Another major diversity is the diversity in caste/jati among the people, tribes and the ethnic differences in it’s own terms.

Besides, diversity also varied among the people in their dresses, food habits can be noticed besides the social custom and practices relatively in the form of marriage, family et.al.

Thus, to India is a land of enormous diversities as cited above and is observed in the different parts of the country, providing a panorama in celebrating the uniqueness which is a pride of India.
