Take a mixture of ammonium chloride and salt in china dish over tripod stand.Now cover the china dish with inverted funnel and close the opening end by using a cotton plug.Now heat the mixture as we know that ammonium is volatile and thus will sublime and get stick to the inner walls of inverted funnel leaving sand in a china dish.Now scrap ammonium chloride from funner by using spactula.Hence they could be separated
