How can you seperate alumina from silica in a bauxite ore associate with silica

We know that silica is amphoteric in nature. Thus we use acidic or basic substance such as sodium hydroxide which nuetrilise silica.

then the formed slag is removed.

After that only bauxite ore is left behind,then by using electrolytic refining. Thus,The aluminium is collected at cathode.

and the aluminium is obtained from bauxite ore containing silica.
