1.open the microsoft word document double click the word document that u want to protect with password.
2.click file. it's tab in the upper left corner of the word window
3.click the info tab.
4.click the protect document
5.click encrypt with password
6.enter a password
7.click ok
8.re-enter the password, then click ok
