- When an ray enters a rectangular slab obliquely the medium changes and there is a change in speed of light ray so it bends towards the medium.
- But when it reaches the opposite end of the slab then again it has to travel in the same medium so the speed of light increases and it goes away from the normal and if we see this ray will appear to be parallel to the incident ray.
