First method:
Weigh it.
Bake it for an hour at 300 degrees F. Uncovered. Put a cover on it and let it cool.
Reweigh it.
Original weight minus after baking weight = weight of water.
Second method:
Put it in a jarsay 1/3 full.
Put lid on jar.
Put jar in hot sun for a couple of hours.
Put jar into freezer and take out sfter 5 minutes, noting water condensation on the insides.
The first method is superior in that it yoelds quantitative results.
