how can you tell the directions while facing the rising sun​

IF you stand facing rising side then the side you face is east , the side at your back is west and the side lest to you is north and the side right to you is south.

I can tell the direction of sun while facing the sun because the sun always rise from the east.

Therefore I can say that sun rise from the east by facing sun.
