Answer:

When temperature increases, free electrons of the conductor gain more Kinetic energy. As a result, they collide more frequently with other electrons as well as protons inside the conductor. This collisions contribute for the increase of resistance.

Answer:

Temperature plays an important role in the resistance of a conductor.

The resistance of the conductor is increased if we raise the temperature of the conductor.

In case of an insulator, the temperature will be decreased if we increase the temperature of the conductor.

when we increase the temperature, there is an increase in vibrations of the ions of the conductor. Due to this, the electrons collide with each other at a fast rate.  This results in reduced relaxation time and thus increasing the resistance of the conductor.
